Core modules

Core Pawnbroker Software modules

The modules most pawnbrokers start with, all working from one pledge record.

Numbered pawn ticket with a gold ring beside it, standing for pledges and pawn tickets

Pledges and pawn tickets

Each pledge is recorded at the counter with the customer, item descriptions and photos, and a numbered pawn ticket is printed with the loan amount and due date.

Gold necklace on a small weighing scale with a purity tag, standing for item valuation records

Item valuation records

Gold and jewellery are valued by weight and purity, watches and branded goods by model, serial number and condition, and the valuer's figure is kept on the pledge.

Calendar page with coins and an unlocked padlock, standing for interest and redemption

Interest and redemption

Interest and charges are worked out from the rates and rules your business sets, and the redemption amount for any date shows on screen before the customer pays.

Two linked pawn tickets with a circular arrow, standing for pledge renewals

Pledge renewals

Renewing a pledge collects the interest due under your rules and issues a new ticket linked to the original, keeping every renewal of that pledge in one history.

Clipboard list beside an auction gavel, standing for forfeiture and auction lists

Forfeiture and auction lists

Unredeemed pledges move to forfeiture and auction lists by the rules you set up, with item descriptions, weights and valuations ready for the auctioneer or your own stock.

Customer profile card with an ID card behind it, standing for pawnshop customer records

Customer records

One record per customer holds ID details, contact information and every pledge past and present, with repeat customers recognised the moment their ID is scanned.

Pledges and tickets

Pawn ticket and pledge management at the counter

Every pledge starts at the counter as one record: the customer, each item with its photos and valuation, the loan amount, the ticket number and the due date. Staff search by ticket, name or ID number, and a lost ticket is handled on the record with its replacement logged.

  • Customer details filled in through Singpass and Myinfo, with ID document and face checks where you need them
  • Several items on one ticket, each with its own description, weight and photos
  • Pawn tickets printed on your own layout, with a copy sent by SMS or WhatsApp
  • Every pledge, payment and change logged against a named staff member
  • AI features can read ID cards, receipts and certificates for branded goods into the pledge for staff to check

Watches and branded goods
Brand, model, serial number, condition and accessories recorded, with photos and certificates attached to the item.

Custom build

Custom pawn shop system built around your rules

Packaged pawn systems suit shops whose process matches the product. When your valuation rules, ticket layout or branch set-up do not, we build the Pawnshop Software around them, and change it when your business changes.

  • Released in stages, starting with pledges, tickets and redemptions
  • Hosted by Episcript or in your own environment
  • Eligible for government grants
What a custom build changes
  • Your interest rules, ticket layout and valuation method, not the vendor's
  • Item screens for what you actually take, from gold jewellery to branded bags
  • Reports laid out the way your management and auditors read them
  • AI features built on your own pledge records, with staff approving every output
  • A Singapore team that builds, supports and extends it after launch

Questions

Pawnbroker Software FAQs

Pawn shops use either a packaged pawn system or software built around their own process. Both handle pledges, tickets, interest and redemptions, and a custom build also fits your valuation rules, ticket layout, branches and reports.

The software records every payment against its ticket, and reports interest income, redemptions, renewals and forfeitures by day, branch or item type. Management sees which pledges are earning interest and which are heading for forfeiture.

Cost depends on scope: the modules in the first phase, the item types and valuation rules to build, the data to migrate and the systems to connect. We quote after a scoping session and price each phase separately.

It depends on the first phase. A release covering pledges, tickets and redemptions goes live sooner than a full build with forfeiture, branches and regulatory reports, and we give you a schedule once scope is agreed.

We migrate them for you. We map each open pledge, its items, ticket number, loan amount and payments to date from your old system or spreadsheets, run a test import with you, then cut over on an agreed date.

Our solutions are eligible for government grants. We explain how the schemes apply to your project and what the agency looks for, so you can budget with the full picture in front of you.

Gold prices can be entered by hand each day or taken from a live price feed you subscribe to. New valuations use the latest price, and pledges already held can be revalued against it.

The system can connect to Singpass, Corppass and Myinfo for customer details, PayNow and payment gateways for redemptions, and Xero, QuickBooks or your own accounting system. Card terminals and other connections are scoped with you.

AI features can be added, each scoped with you and built in its own phase using information from your system. They cover ID and document reading, WhatsApp reminders, notice drafting, data questions, redemption forecasts and checks on unusual pledges.

The system supports your PDPA obligations through permissions, activity logs, consent records and access controls. Staff see only the customer data their role needs and every change is logged, while your own policies do the rest.

One system runs every branch. Pledges, cash, stock and staff are recorded per shop, with reports per branch or across the chain, and each branch manager sees only their own pledges.
